Myself and others were rightly in Prison for the punishment part of a sentence But rehabilitation/preparation for release needs to be focused on for those still in Prison as it's not a priority, This should include training for employment and if needed a hostel place with support

More hostel places need to be available for those leaving Prison so they've got a bed and support and for a longer stay than 3 months, 3 months doesn't give people enough time to adjust to society gain ID etc and look for move on accommodation Things need to change to save lives

I mentor Ex-Prisoners at a hostel and they tell me, Prisons are becoming more violent due to poorly trained Officers and more people getting Whole Life Orders/longer sentences with nothing to lose, Officers need better training to manage Prisoners who will never get released

I've questioned English PATRIOTS about this on X not one has replied, After Lee Rigbys Murder in 2013 his mother Lyn Rigby said Lee loved humanity and would not want his name used to incite Islamaphobic attacks, These PATRIOTS do the opposite using his name to stir racial hatred

I think Calamity Lammy's idea of speeding up the process for those from Ethnic minorities/working class backgrounds to become Solicitors is good, At present there are very few and recruiting more will mean ordinary people from all backgrounds can also be Barristers and Judges

The MOJ want to punish parents if a child commits a crime, They could be really well behaved at school and at home, But with their friends they could be shoplifting drug dealing or being violent etc How is a parent supposed to know or monitor what they do outside the family home

People that commit crime deserve punishment 100%, Some deserve Whole Life Orders or Extended sentences, People can be rehabilitated in MOST cases but it has to come from within when they are ready to change, We as society shouldn't automatically tar everyone with the same brush

It's obvious Staff bring in the majority of contraband and not Drones as the MOJ have you believe, Drug tests are hardly done these days which is surprising as when I was in Prison I was tested voluntarily weekly and had mandatory tests regularly, No wonder jails are chaos

I live in a small town and we are lucky to have 11 Pubs within a 5 to 15 minutes walk of each other, They've all recently been refurbished so they must be doing well for the breweries to invest in them, This is good to see as sadly many areas of the UK are losing Pubs daily
