This is Messi showing character in the face of defeat.
Though all his teammates left the pitch, he stayed and watched his opponents lift their trophy. Could've been to show respect or any other reason but this something Ronaldo can never do.
This picture of Messi I saw on my timeline has made me take a pause to myself so many questions in self retrospect.
Over the years we've held this perception of Messi being the shy one but have totally overlooked how resilient and strong spirited he is.
