Hi @HMRCcustomers I think there's a weird bug in SA submission. Yesterday afternoon I completed my personal tax return but got a "problem with the system - not submitted" error page. Just logged in again to try. Was presented with the same error page on opening my tax return/1
But when I selected an earlier page and tracked through, it allowed me to submit and I have my confirmation. I'm wondering whether there was in fact a problem yesterday at all./2
It's not a problem for me now, since I'm all submitted but I "do" digital inclusion for a living and I'm wondering how many people might read the "system problem message" and give up - and instead have to phone the helpline. Just a thought./end
Thanks so much to Herefordshire Community Foundation and the Joanies Fund for supporting us to restart some creative digital workshops for young people. It gives children skills to enjoy and work experience for the young people who run them.
Increasingly I'm coming to the conclusion that if HMRC were properly managed, organised, trained and equipped then the country's productivity would see quite the leap.
Oh dear, @StagecoachSE - phantom buses in Eastbourne again. This time the 9.55 #1 from Broomfield street to Shinewater. Confidently predicts 10.14 arrival, then goes to 10.13. No sign on the map then never turns up. Feature request: live 'we've cancelled it' updates on the app?
hi @StagecoachSE seems to be a bit of an issue with the app this morning (iOS, v4.26.0). Paying for a ticket using PayPal initially said didn't work, try again but PayPal released the payment. Forced Restart of app twice then tried to activate the ticket (esussex flexi10) /1
It refused to activate. Then when trying again it said activated on another device. Forced restart of app.
Then it implied ticket 1 was activated but refused to show it.
Then clicked on button saying 'show to scanner' and it said error.
Restarted again finally could show ticket
Every day is digital inclusion day for us. Today: bus stop conversations to explain to bus users how to use a bus app. It's not necessarily older people either...
When I was younger I thought it was because people were too mean to buy lunch on the road. Maybe it's just because we've got stuff in the fridge that has to be used...
That's the first job of the day done. Finally setting up the flat printer for the first time since the new broadband went in. With 10 year old powerline adapters and a 25 year old printer, it's more reminiscent of a Win3 printer installation than "plug'n'play" /1
That said, with a bit of colourful language and persistence, we've got there and this ancient old man of a monochrome laser printer is obligingly printing once again. You can stuff your modern wifi, small footprint, inkjet jobs - LJ4050 ftw.
