Yesterday, we went to Little Cataraquai Creek Conservation Area to learn about plants animals as a wrap up to our Life Systems #science strand. Today, we completed a #TWR sentence expansion activity about our field trip using a lesson from the #syntaxproject. @LimestoneDSB

@LimestoneDSB Math on the Land PD in use @EcoleMaple_LDSB we estimated how old the trees were. We used a tree identifier and calculated an estimated age. We discussed tree preservation, not having to cut a tree for the age. Trees ranged from 26 to 107yrs old at Butternut Creek!
