One of the things that sucks about making your own business or making your own art or doing anything by yourself and trying to be successful is that you have to continuously talk about it and continuously show people what you're working on if you want to succeed and build a following.
This is very frustrating for me because, like many artists and creatives, I just want to work on my art. But paradoxically I need to take a break from working on my art so that I can show people I am actually making art and gain a following.
This issue is compounded even more for me because due to the massive scope of the video game I'm creating and the fact I'm a solo developer already $23,000 in debt funding it, I can't afford to hire a 3D artist or have the time to become one, so I do leverage AI.
So while I'm working 12 hours a day even on most weekends, the anti AI people basically tell me all I do is press a magic AI button to create my game, give me death threats and call me the worst thing that's ever happened to game development and the SCP horror community (I'm not even joking, I received death threats on BlueSky)
So I'm currently recording a video to release tomorrow showing that I am indeed a human being spending thousands of hours creating things, many of which by hand and that this is indeed a very ambitious and creative project with all of my humanity being poured into it!
Stay tuned!
