Beautiful new work from @JimJohnsonSci. I got to see @JelenaK86 present some of her work on this last summer and it’s great to see it out! Congratulations to both on an impressive dataset and paper!
Thank you to @UBCmedicine and @UBCNews for highlighting the provocative work of super star fellow @JelenaK86 . Yes, it’s true, some peoples’ islets have larger insulin responses to fatty acids (8%) and amino acids (9%) than glucose! We are not all the same :-)
