It’s Veterans’ Day and a perfect time to remember Janet Hunter (Chafee) Cushman, a descendent of Gov. Lippitt, who served as a lieutenant in U.S. Navy in WWII. A codebreaker stationed in Pearl Harbor, Jan left a legacy of honorable service. #veteransday22

October is a big month in Lippitt family history! Birthdays included: Mary Ann Balch on 10/9 (b. 1823), Charles on 10/10 (b. 1846), and Gov. Henry on 10/10 (b. 1818). Daughter Abby (b. 1861) wasn't far behind, celebrating her birthday on October 31st. Pictured is the family plot.
