Really enjoyed this series on BBC R4 this week on different types of rare dementias! It was great to hear directly from people living with these types of dementias and how dementia can be so much more than just memory issues. Definitely recommend 👏🏻
Our final BBC R4 episode of Dementia: Unexpected Stories of the Mind features Jo. She speaks eloquently and powerfully about her diagnosis of semantic dementia (also known as semantic PPA). Her vocabulary is fading away – all the more poignant because she is a novelist.
