I'm not sure how many are still using this platform, but for those that are - please check out our publication on comparing conventional tag data and acoustic tag data for lake whitefish in Green Bay, which is now online! afspubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.…
This publication is from my postdoc work at UWSP with @GLATOS_Fish. The untimely passing of Chris Vandergoot a few months ago has left a big hole in GLATOS and the telemetry community. I am lucky that I got to work with Chris during my time as a postdoc...(2/3)
I know that myself & many others learned a lot from his leadership, and I will always appreciate how he wanted to grow and build the telemetry community, including early career scientists. Chris made significant contributions to this project and so many others-he will be missed.
🐟RT please!🐟

Great to see this one out. Estimating reproductive success of walleye in a northern Wisconsin lake. Bigger isn't necessarily better. Most of the reproductive output comes from medium sized fish.
