Hey @MBTA — I’d like to voice my opinion on the Better Bus Project meeting tonight but I’m not being let in as capacity was capped at 300 participants? This can’t be right.
Among my favorite concert experiences was #MeatLoaf’s performance of #HeavenCanWait in Boston in the late 1990s. The show was pretty much all-request, with the provision that the person requesting a song had to tell the story of why they requested it. 1/4
#MeatLoaf added that the scene would come to him with the opening notes, so he said he’d perform it and share afterwards what had gone through his mind.
After a beautiful rendition — admittedly the first time I’d ever really listened to it — he shared the story. 3/4
He had envisioned a very old and dying man sitting on a porch singing it to his young grandson. Near the end of the song, it was the grandson singing to his grandfather.
I am forever in awe of this man’s talents.

ALT The sun rises over a grouping of houses, illuminating the clouds with a plume of of orange. Six skinny bare trees rise in front of the scene.
ALT Sunrise as viewed from a front porch. An orange glow is on the horizon to the far right, adding a pinkish hue to the clouds to the left. Houses and tall bare trees line the street on the left side.
Beyond grateful to have received the inaugural Everett Educator Innovation Scholarship. I’m going to use the funds to attend the CSTA National Conference in Chicago. Excited to bring ideas and opportunities for my students. @EverettMASchool@CSforAllTchrs@csteachersorg
