Thanks for being part of #LDInsight chat over the years. We've seen many volunteers step in and step away as needed. Looking back, we've had a good run in keeping the chat active since about 2016. Big appreciation and gratitude to all who've been involved.

And for clarity, we're not stopping L&D Connect. We're just not sure what it needs to continue to be, and there's been no discussion on where it goes. But, #LDInsight chat itself is what we're discussing. We'll still likely run events of different sorts.

It's not for a lack of topics, or for a lack of desire. But it is a commitment from our volunteers. This is likely to be the last #LDinsight chat. But we wanted the community to have a chance to have your say about this decision.

We've reached a point with the weekly #LDInsight chat where we think it's time to stop this chat. It's not a decision we've come to lightly. The volunteers who run the chat have been discussing this for some weeks now.

I’m starting with the negative first… -ve: The energy use we don’t see and it’s impact on the planet 🌎 from data centres ve: I can work from mostly anywhere, significantly broadened my network and projects I work on - reach #LDinsight

Did you know it saves a significant amount of energy when we switch our cameras off on Zoom etc? And do we really need to record and store that meeting/webinar? #LDinsight What do our meetings cost in CO2?
