September 27, 1974: Lt. Joseph Costantino and the crew of Engine 5 responded to a building fire at Kramer’s Hayloft on Union Street. He became trapped in the building and was rushed to Mass General Hospital were he succumbed to his injuries a month later.

Hundreds of firefighter union leaders from MA are in Las Vegas this week for the @IAFFofficial Affiliate Leadership Training Summit. This year at IAFF ALTS the focus is on cancer causing chemicals known as PFAS in firefighter turnout gear.
