We would like to recognize the men & women of L3217 during National EMS Week, May 17–23. The FFs of MWAA are EMTs and paramedics who respond to >8,000 calls each year, the vast majority of which are EMS-related, throughout DCA, IAD, and the surrounding jurisdictions.

In addition to responding to these emergency incidents each year, they conduct monthly training, regularly provide public CPR and first aid classes, and provide standby EMS services for special events.

Today, IAFF Local 3217 says goodbye to one of our own, Master Firefighter Jasinski.
Brother Jasinski leaves behind 13 years of dedicated service with Local 3217 and more than 20 years in the fire service overall. His departure is not simply the loss of a position on a roster.
