I want to practice pixelart pinup stuff🔞 and mess around with different styles. Let's see if I can improve. Critique is welcome.

Conflict is not proof of separation. If we go that far, aang was wrong for making republic city. The 4 nations dont HAVE to be in conflict, neither do spirits. You'd be angry too if you thought someone burned down your land, and you are human.

If you view some as animalistic like heibai, we coexist and conflict with nature all the time. If you view them as rational like wan shi tong, that's a very human reaction to people disrespecting your life's work. But there can never be peace if they stay gated off.

Avatar hot take but I think severing the avatar connection is good narratively. For aang and anyone before its cool to older avatars, but for Korra onward it's just a thing in the back of your mind "when will she talk to aang, will we see kyoshi again", etc on top of-

being great for Korra arc. being told she's a bad avatar, and then losing one of the things that we use to define it both sets her up for her later depression and removes the ability for her to seek guidance on what an avatar should be from aang. She has to define it herself.

they needed someone strong enough to fight shigaraki and weaken him. and someone strong needed to die to show how strong he is now. that's fine. but to introduce such a cool character, with such a cool quirk, only to have her do very little and die feels like a waste.

as a plot device she served her role. You could call her a "good one" but that's all she is. a fun design to watch get nuked before you have any chance to get invested. In jjk the similar death is just as disappointing, assuming you are talking about the gravity thing

so if he says something normal, and dumb people lie about what he said, and that has a negative effect, it's his fault? that being said he doesn't have that kind of power. you are seeing what you want to see to be angry about nothign.

korra had already recasted aged up versions of the character long before this quote.for all we know they could have always wanted to cast differently for this movie. don't like the voices? Fine, but acting like it's Prozd's fault because of a quote people misinterpreted is nuts

the bakugou reze death battle is weird because we are assuming Bakugou can tank explosions just because he can almost take his own (they still hurt him) and that his explosions are stronger then the concept of bombs itself. kind of lowballing Reze a bit.

She did very quickly beat denji, she just left his body alone long enough for someone to give him blood, and that was against someone she didn't even want to fight. As much as i like bakugou giving him the win feels like several hoops were jumped through.

i feel like calling that "grooming" is so extreme. all media is propaganda. if we are going off of that. all media made for general viewing is "grooming"

it's pushing a social norm, but there are shows that act like relationships are the most important thing, and that's way more damaging than anything avatar does.
500
don't most death battles run on the logic of "give them everything"? like bowser would never have black ink, AND the grand stars, AND chance time all at once, but it's in his kit so they use everything he had

if metal can go neo, and use chaos emeralds. why can he not use both in this hypothetical? or if he can copy sonics bio data why would he not be able to use them?

Korra, unlike any other avatar i've seen so far, WANTS to be the avatar. so it makes sense that like a kid trying to power up like goku, would pretend to bend all 4 elements. The difference being she actually could.

Aang could probably have bended water easily like he does when he actually tried, but why would he before then, as far as he knew he's just an airbender.

ouch, the slander. korra aint beating azula, but she wins with the avatar state. the times she did was when she was poisoned or fresh out of rehab with ptsd. if aang wins with is. she would. The avatar state gives you the knowledge of your past lives.

the one time we see her fully fight with it (against vaatu). she easily wins, like wan did. but in her fight with unalaaq after she doesnt really use it?

shovel knight, splodey, silksong. Games will seem all the same if you just complain about the ones that are similar and ignore the ones that aren't.

minus silk song because it isn't a pixel art game but i could replace it with something like iconoclast. A metroidvania but still 2d platformer

and to clarify, Aang, as a child, has nothing to combat bloodbending, we saw that in the original series. Mybe the avatar state would work like in Korra, but who knows. And I only say Kuvera because Aang cant metal bend, and her style is more fluid and could lock aang down

but so what? swapping villains doesn't indicate anything because the scenario and context also plays a role in both of their stories. isolating bits for powerscaling isn't meaningful.
312
typically character traits exist in a story for a reason. making a character "messed up" because they exist in the real world and no other reason is kind of dumb. it's not about making things clean, but why is it there? it feels like it's only there to make her look bad.
3
325
if the only way you can make her look bad is by making her an incest predator, i guess go for it, but since we never explore her or UiUi, it's now just this random weird thing about this character that's gross for no reason.
285
the women in TLA fit pretty common roles. and many of them have their femininity play into their character. flipping their genders would change how their stories would be seen. Korra honestly feels like she was written how a lot of male cocky protagonists are written

toph- looked down upon because she is small blind girl katara- northerners were sexist so Katara was an outlier Suki- all female warrior tribe. she clashed with sokkas sexism. Korra's narrative/arc isn't gendered really

he also goes on to partner with the vees. you'd think that after being rejected by your crush/potential business partner you'd isolate further. you can always say he changed since then, but him before/ after are so different it's a shame we don't see when it changed.

you could say him being rejected made him seek out two partners to prove al wrong, but if thats the case his response to al's taunting wouldn't be to push the Vee's away. it's hard to tell if he want's partnership or sole godhood.

shigaraki was basically groomed to be that way. i think if we say, "they are too far gone" is just saying "i'm not even going to try to unpack this, which is the mentality deku fought against. touya didn't want to stop, but he was STOPPED and had to live out the time he had left

i'd say someone like muscular isn't deserving of grace because he is just a dude that killed for fun. shigaraki and toya were groomed, and toga /twice are societal. I just think their outcomes suck given what deku's goal was

and yes, i am bitter that after learning she's a hero for "selfish" reasons she has no involvement in the arc about the crazy guy killing heroes for selfish reasons.

by selfish i mean by stains metric. Uraraka motives are valid but being a hero to make money, even if for the good of others, still would be against stain's narrow definition, which would have been a fun thing to see stain answer to and how Uraraka would feel.
