Usage has settled at 10.5% of rooms scanned with Apple RoomPlan, 85.3% with RoomScan's native LiDAR scanning and 4.2% with Touching Walls mode.

Wow. Learning curve was much easier. Approx 5 min to get a single room in. Need to play with it for the whole house though to see if it has the same breadth of 3D objects etc…. Unnamed room Internal floor area 15.8m², perimeter 17.3m. Locometric RoomScan

New scanning mode coming to RoomScan LiDAR with iOS 16 later this year, wired up to RoomScan's multitude of export options and specialised reports. Speed and measurement accuracy still being worked on by the boffins @Apple but definitely a very cool look. #roomplan with #roomscan

In this beta Apple's RoomPlan API has a distance to travel on speed and accuracy, plus it can't yet handle short walls and struggles with walls behind high units. 10m long rooms with 10 walls aren't yet reliable. But for a quick 3D model for furnishing etc it's absolutely magic!
