A player who recently returned from active duty explained the concept of combat width to me. It made a lot of sense, so I redesigned the maps as long strips instead of huge full squares. This keeps players focused on a limited combat front. As the front lines push forward, supply runs will naturally become more difficult. Square maps are still kept but not advised.
