Very nice work, well done Roger et al.!
Excited to share our latest research on leveraging machine learning for the design of novel protein cages! Using cryo-EM, we've successfully solved their structures, achieving 2 Å resolution for one of our designs. #proteincages #ml #CryoEM Link: cell.com/structure/fulltext/…

A truly wonderful human being. Phil was my PhD supervisor and the reason I came to JIC. He remained a great sounding board for advice even after he retired from JIC in 2005. He was always available for a call and a chat. RIP Phil.

Some fantastic work that we were very pleased to be part of - congratulations to all involved!
Where is the RNA? Shielding the genome from damage is essential for viruses. In our recently solved structure of Sweet potato mild mottle virus (SPMMV, genus Ipomovirus), the RNA occupies a binding pocket of each CP in the helical arrangement, as in other structures of potyvirids
