Good agreement on temps increasing to mid➡️high 20's from tomorrow. Humid too
with it comes a small shower/storm risk at times
Models now showing the extended summery spell I mentioned in quoted tweet below
I'll resume forecasts when I return from Portugal at end of the week

high pressure responsible for this may well stick around

The storm today was fun but the most important thing was to get another 8.4mm in the bank

After missing the showers and storms yesterday, I finally got me a torrential one with thunder and lightning currently ⚡
Woohoo 🎉
But until then, we keep the unsettled theme going
Actually tomorrow will be a drier and milder day for most but Monday ➡️ Thursday sees temps dropping back to similar values to today and plenty of showers/spells of rain. Breezy too
Some showers on Tues & Wed may be thundery ⚡

A trend of the last 24 hours is for max temps to be more like low to mid 20's this weekend into early next week, rather than anything into the high 20's as it previously looked

Firming up on the upcoming warmer and drier spell
In terms of temps we are looking at maxes of 22-26c across southern England Saturday ➡️ Monday, with up to 28c or 29c poss in the London area on Sun/Mon
Then temps likely dropping back into lower 20's from Tues/Wed next week

I took the gamble and planted out the veg at the beginning of the May heatwave
And it seems to have paid off - on track to pick some very early cucumbers in a few days
Unlike the flowers in the garden, they don't seem to have noticed to cooler air, torrential rain & gusty winds

Good to see plenty of storms and much needed rain today. I clocked a whopping 26.4mm back home
Had some heavy showers and storms today in Brussels too. And Saturday storms were incredible over there
