Keith Emerson 1944-2016
Of Emerson Lake and Palmer.
Such a great pioneer of the Synthesiser and Organ.
I'll always be inspired by your music.

Van Gogh: Starry Night: NYC: 2024
The most attended sight in the gallery that day and probably every day, viewed with such affection. I wished I could somehow tell Vincent how much loved he would be, or what stature he would achieve, maybe he would rest in greater peace.

Jimi Hendrix 1969
Died too young. The world missed out on a lifetimes work from this creative genius. Here's some improv from the Lulu show, probably the best song of the night.

Concorde @ Heathrow 1992
Really miss seeing a Concorde over London, it was a brilliant sight. What a fantastic invention, should have been upgraded, not cancelled. On this day, my earplugs were no match for those roaring engines.

John Lennon 70th birthday at Strawberry Fields New York, 2010. In the shadow of the Dakota, we sang, laughed, and cried. Wish he was here. #lennon#Beatles
Unfinished Shard, London, 2011
Its fabulous to see the skyscrapers go up over London, but I dont approve of the destruction of our beautiful older buildings or alleyways to make way for them. One hopes that they guard our heritage, but sadly its probably not their priority.
Bridget Riley @ Haywards Gallery, London, 2019
Great to behold works from the genius of optical art in this splendid show, but sadly, after just a few pieces, I had gone a bit cross eyed. Still, I made it round, and then staggered home, dizzy. Fabulous it was. Good fun. š³
Southwark Bridge, London: March 2004
This photo, snapped on a cold evening, with runny nose. The shot is so low rez that it almost resembles an impressionistic piece, thanks to my first and cheapest digital camera. St Pauls, and old father Thames. Yes, Iā¤ļø LONDON! Time for tea.
Quintessential London @ Westminster 2006
It was a day like any other, as I strolled through Parliament Square, and chanced upon this delightful scene, which I couldnt help snapping. I may not be the first or the last person to take a shot here. š„¹
Routemaster@Victoria Station 2004
And so began the slow extinction of this, the finest of London's buses. Sold off to whoever would take them.
Terrible shame. Beautiful machines.
I told the driver here that in 20 years I would upload his photo onto 'Twitter'. He said 'er... OK'.
Liverpool Street Station of olde.
I think this is the cafe in the seventies.
A bit shabby but the old place was full of character,
and I miss it a lot.
They now want to ruin it even more š

Escape velocity @ Hyde Park 2023
Candid photo perfectly performed until it was photo bombed by a smirking swan. There should be a law against it.

Pigeon party @ Postmans Park, London 2021.
Flock of feathered friends attempting to emulate the
famous 'Doves of Pliny' scene in uptown London.
Those guys did a splendid job. šļø

Cartyatid figures @ Euston, London 2021
How wonderful that this church developed some Greek designs to support their architecture.
It's beautiful. Long may it reign.
The last great greekness in this area, the Euston Arch, was flattened for the sake of modernisation.
