Matt's always had the community's best interests at heart.
When I messaged him several months ago, I realized quickly that he genuinely cares about safety.
There are good reasons behind every action he takes, and doesn't take, and they won't always be relayed to the community.

I mean, you could verify a Roblox account with a 200 Robux gift card out of a party pack, done it before.
That's ~$2 per account, and the bigger game bypassers probably make that back anyway.
in all honesty.. why? were bad actors not hassled by the previous payment requirement? why make it a constant $5/month? could they not do: "if you ever purchased a subscription, you can publish." ??

It's a shame this came to pass, but yeah, people don't understand how bad the issue actually is.
One such example is Dollhouse Roleplay, which has been re-uploaded ~29 times since February, and that's just one of many bad games.

Reason for requiring Roblox Plus to publish to users under 16:
"Plus creates a financial cost for bad actors attempting to create a large number of accounts."
I do understand the first 3, but to have to pay a membership to publish a game to 80% of the platform is going to be an interesting approach to watch unfold.

AI is amazing. I am extremely pro-AI
1. It has lowered the barrier of entry for programmers, resulting in hundreds upon hundreds of slop applications vulnerable to everything. This is job security.
2. AI influencers keep saying AI is going to destroy cybersecurity. This is good. AI influencers don't understand the size and scope of cybersecurity, they think it's just smashing a keyboard and making cat noises. This makes people less likely to enter our field, making us more valuable, making us more money. It's job security. Keep telling people cybersecurity is dead.
3. It's given us a new area of research: AI security
4. It's made task automation easier with slop Python scripts.
In summary, cybersecurity is dead. DO NOT try to work in this field. It's all over. Cybersecurity has been solved!

Anything players can do, 764 can do, it’s not bills that need to come out of this, platforms just need to take more of a responsibility, more proactive action, and faster response.
A team of HUMAN moderators should exist specifically to hunt down consistent bad actors.

I don’t think this update ends here.
I fully expect Roblox to require Premium and an upload fee to create games.
With all the lawsuits and safety controversies it feels inevitable.
