Kong Skull Island: easily the weakest of today's films. Riddled with hollywoodisms but still trying. Love the sheer volume of weird freaks on the island. Insane jiggle physics on Brie Larson, but even more so on Tom Hiddleston, somehow.

I appreciate the marked attempts to work through the Kong films' deranged politics. The resolution being that Kong can only handle the big global threat through cooperation with the US military is kinda hilarious, especially when compared to Mothra.
