Even before the internet transformed our world, David Schwartz
@JoelKatz was already ahead of his time. In 1988, when computers were starting to become common and networks were in their infancy, Schwartz wrote and patented a system for distributed computing โ one where multiple computers could share processing tasks seamlessly. (U.S. Patent 5,025,369, filed by David J. Schwartz on May 23, 1988, and issued on June 18, 1991.)
His groundbreaking work laid the foundation for many of the principles that now underpin blockchain technology, such as decentralization, efficiency, and resilience.
Itโs remarkable to think that Schwartzโs early vision of cooperative, networked computing "predated" the internet, yet foreshadowed the distributed ledger systems that power all blockchain including
$XRP and the
#XRP Ledger today!!!!
Thanks to
@lion_tha49414 for sharing the patent with me!!!! It is MINDBLOWING!!!!
