ALT Therefore this meeting proposes to bring together experts in several different tissue/organ systems known to regulate components of energy utilization or intake (i.e., CNS, adipose tissue, muscle function). Cutting edge concepts around the biological processes of energy intake regulation, energy metabolism, lipid homeostasis and adipocyte dys/function, and muscle biology will be discussed. Updates on potential innovative or combination therapeutic approaches for the treatment of obesity will also be reviewed. Such cross-fertilization of ideas and experiences will lead to outside-the-box collaborative approaches and concepts to further push the frontiers of obesity research and make novel discoveries.
