Great to see the #LossAndDamage Fund operationalised at #COP28 and pledges being made already a year after last year‘s decision to establish the fund-which took more than 30 years of heavy debate and negotiations.

ALT A new report released today by the Zurich Flood Resilience Alliance lays bare the devastating impact that the climate crisis is having on lives and livelihoods in some of the word's most vulnerable communities. Current efforts to address these losses and damages are highly insufficient, and national and international humanitarian response systems are already overstretched and underfunded. The Alliance has highlighted the actions that the international community must take to assist communities most affected by the climate crisis – now, and in the future.
