Circa a century ago, Stereoscopic images were in vogue - two slightly different images. When viewed together in this beautiful walnut and brass stereoscope, your eye is tricked into seeing a three-dimensional image! These are taken from the stand at St Helen's looking North.

There is nothing a woman can be, no strength or success she can acquire that can protect her from male violence. Rebecca was an Olympian. And her ex-boyfriend burned her alive. There are no words.

Right I have gone through the latest 20mph data for Wales and have made this video. However, I know many of you prefer a thread so I've done that as well. Long story short, 20mph seems to be working VERY well and is already paying for itself. [Thread]

Cheers @tfwrail not the relaxing train journey from Swansea to Wolverhampton I had in mind… eating my lunch, reading, doing some work. Squeezed in by the toilets, standing room only, 2 hot dirty carriages only and no WiFi. šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ˜«

Violent men will find any weapon they can to exact the harm they wish to inflict on women, and whilst I support moves to restrict access to crossbows, the focus must be on the escalating acts of abuse preceding murder. Namely coercive control, for which there is a 3.6% charge rate for and 0.01% of offences recorded result in conviction! āž”ļø theguardian.com/uk-news/arti…

26-year-old Kyle Clifford is being hunted by police. It’s a fast moving situation and there’s a lot we don’t know. But there is one thing that we DO know. And it’s depressingly, devastatingly familiar. Three woman are dead. They were killed in their home. A mum, she was 61, and her two girls, 25 and 28, both in their twenties - that decade when you’re working out who you want to be and where you want to go with your life. But for them, that’s now over. A woman is killed by a man every three days in the United Kingdom. That number has been remarkably consistent for the last twenty years. Women are also much more likely to be killed by someone they know - two thirds of them are killed by a current or former partner. ā€œDomesticā€ – that word that somehow doesn’t feel adequate – because terror can also happen in the home. Remember the three women killed at home in Bushey were still alive when the emergency services got there. Yvette Cooper – the new Home Secretary – has said the killings are ā€œtruly shockingā€ – and she’s being kept fully updated on the case. During the campaign, she said that violence against women and girls will be treated as a national emergency under Labour. And less than a week into the job… three women killed at home. It certainly feels like an emergency.
