#TheEcoSpeedTurtle, a group of youths dedicated to fighting plastic pollution, which is currently one of the most pressing global issues. Yesterday, we visited the water catchment at Bokwai in order to raise awareness about plastic pollution and collect plastic waste.

Last week, I had the opportunity to visit Limbe down beach for a survey related to an environmental project. As I ventured onto the field, I was immediately struck by the alarming amount of plastic waste scattered around the area.

The accumulation of plastics on beaches is particularly concerning due to its detrimental impact on coastal ecosystems. Marine animals often mistake plastic debris for food, leading to ingestion and entanglement, which can result in injury or death.

Unable to ignore this pressing issue, I instinctively began picking up the plastic litter that had accumulated on the beach. Even the smallest actions can make a significant difference in preserving our planet.
