The pushback against the US Hockey team is showing a clear difference in morality and principles. And it’s a pretty clear divide between coastal elites, mostly from single women with no children.
I keep seeing posts like, “I can’t imagine the shame the mothers of these players are feeling”.
For most people they see a group of men that achieved their ultimate dream. And while doing so, honored a dead brother by bringing his children out on the ice for the team photo. Take a minute to think about that. At the peak of achieving their dream, one of the first things on their mind was honoring someone close to them who is no longer with them. That speaks to an honorable group of men.
But the coastal elite who are single, don’t view that as honorable, it means nothing to them. Laughing at a harmless joke in the locker room speaks more to their character to these people.
For those who keep questioning how the players mothers feel. I guarantee these mothers care far more about seeing their sons achieve their goals and show true character. Then they care about seeing their sons laugh at a harmless joke.
These mothers have far thicker skin than the single costal elite women. And have far better values.
