Over the past two days, I had the privilege of experiencing the Jackson Home at its new home at @thehenryford — first walking its rooms alongside Jawana Jackson, and then taking part in today’s ribbon cutting.

Standing in a place where civil rights leaders gathered, organized, and strategized for voting rights was a powerful reminder of why preserving this history matters.

My first love was computer engineering 💻    I fell in love with technology because I saw its power to connect people, solve problems, and create opportunities. But I also saw that not everyone had the same access to the tools they needed to succeed. 🧵

Throughout our time in office, we’ve made historic investments to expand broadband across Michigan—helping connect hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses and bringing reliable internet to communities that have been left behind for far too long.

Every Michigander deserves the tools they need to learn, work, innovate, and thrive. When more people are connected, more people can build, create, solve problems, and help shape Michigan's future 🚀

Hungry kids can’t be expected to do their best learning.    Right now, Michigan is helping feed all 1.4 million public school students through free breakfast and lunch. That means fewer worries for families and more opportunities for kids to thrive.    Let’s make it permanent!

Last week, we gathered at the Governor’s Residence to celebrate Juneteenth with Black leaders, educators, entrepreneurs, advocates, and community members from across our state. A meaningful reminder of the power of freedom and community.

Honored to join the annual Walk, Run, & Roll at Michigan Veteran Homes at Chesterfield Township. I’m proud of the work we’ve done to invest in our veteran homes. Together, we’re ensuring Michigan’s veterans receive the care they deserve.

Today, I had the honor of celebrating the graduating class of Detroit Edison Public School Academy.     We talked about legacy—what we leave behind and what comes next. Michigan’s future is bright because it’s being shaped by pioneers like these graduates. Congrats, Class of 2026

Every Michigander deserves to feel safe in their home, school, workplace, and community.  That’s why we’ve worked to strengthen gun violence prevention efforts and build a state where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. Together, we must always Stand Tall against gun violence
In this country, and only in this country, guns are the #1 killer of young people. Michigan knows this pain all too well. We’ve seen it in in our schools and universities, places of worship and places of employment — we shouldn’t have to live like this. We need action.

I was honored to celebrate the investiture of Judge Tanya Grillo. A proud Macomb County native, Judge Grillo has dedicated her career to serving others and strengthening our legal system. Congratulations, Judge Grillo—we’re fortunate to have you serving on the 16th Circuit Court

June is Men’s Mental Health Month. Too many men are told to stay silent, push through, or carry their struggles alone. That stigma has cost far too many lives. This month, I want every Michigander to know: asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. 🧵

Good mental health helps us take care of ourselves, support our families, navigate stress, and show up for the people we love. If you or someone you know is struggling, reach out. 📞 Call or text 988 to connect with Michigan’s Crisis and Access Line.

Mental health challenges do not define us. By Standing Tall together, supporting one another, and ensuring people can access the care they need, we can build a Michigan where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Happy Pride Month, Michigan. 🏳️‍🌈 This month, we celebrate the LGBTQ community and reaffirm a simple truth: everyone deserves to be seen, valued, and treated with dignity. To every LGBTQ Michigander: I will always Stand Tall for you and have your back.

It was a busy week here in Michigan — and the best kind of busy. From Dearborn’s 100th Memorial Day observance to celebrating Cass Tech graduates and wrapping up at Mackinac Policy Conference, this week was a reminder that Michigan’s greatest strength is its people.

As people begin heading home from another MPC, I wanted to thank the incredible staff who keep this place running. Their hard work powers the conference, the island, and so much of the summer experience here. We’re grateful for all they do.
