Jimmy Carter... Damn, man. I hope his family finds peace and solace in the universal admiration that many throughout the country, regardless of party, have for him. He lived through a truly tremendous amount of history and saw unbelievable change.

For many, he embodied the ideals of this country in its highest form. I can think of no president in living memory who was so universally admired and respected. And he perished just in time to avoid witnessing the nightmare we're about to descend into.

Saint Jude Children's Hospital is so goddamn funny to me. And not in a mean, or mean-spirited way. I will never not laugh whenever I hear someone say "When your KIDS are sick, the LAST thing on your mind should be the cost of their healthcare.". These people are so goddamn close.

This is not about the saints who work at Saint Jude's. This about the galaxy brain takes that the costs of healthcare are bad, morally wrong even, when they apply to children, but somehow morally acceptable when they apply to adults. Like... take just a SINGLE further step, lads.
