Great piece on @crucibletheatre tonight on @BBCSnooker’s coverage. Delighted at the news that this tournament will stay here for another generation to relish. I must return there for the snooker again- a truly special venue!

Definitely felt the loss of JV since he passed away, and felt a little hesitant to dive into this tournament because of it. A touching and sincere tribute from @BBCSnooker just now. Classy and appreciated. All of us that love the game have lost a much loved part of it. #snooker

It had everything! Felt a nervous wreck at times just watching from the comfort of a sofa on a big projector screen with a few beers. That Frame. That Black! That Decider! Crucible Christmas came 2 days early- will the final be as exciting?! Hope so! #snooker

A bonus advantage of performing with audio visual kit is being able to whip it out for other special occasions.

Haven’t seen as much as usual of the World Snooker but enjoying Robertson Higgins.
What is bloody annoying is every time I’ve caught 15 mins or half an hour of coverage, someone’s phone has gone off. Standards have slipped and it needs sorting

Well, my 2 year old has applauded both players into the arena and he’s off to bed after the first frame. The pooches have assumed their snooker viewing positions.
I’m hoping for, and predicting, a narrow John Higgins victory. Anyone else?

Well it’s not been a classic so far, but there aren’t many better things to do on the 3 Sunday nights a year we get to watch Triple Crown event finals.
A great shame that we’re not still watching the late great Paul Hunter alongside the veteran players still playing #snooker

Finally a player has replied to “come on (name)” shouted out from the crowd with “I’m trying!” 😆 a memorable contribution from Kyren just now providing a welcome chuckle in a final that has been frustrating viewing at times #Snooker
