Not enough people are aware of Landen Joseph. The Marshall freshman is a tenacious defender and smooth operating guard.
Joseph is currently 5th in the entire Sun Belt in Evan Miya’s BPR (3.48).

Kuridza is a savvy weak-side defender, capable to playing the passing lanes. He's at his best when he's out running in transition. Great handle for a forward and good vision. Here you can see all those traits on full display.

This weekend, Marshall added another front court player in Tulane transfer, Vasilije Kuridza.
The 6'9" Bosnian forward brings an intriguing blend of size and skill to the Herd's frontcourt. Kuridza is comfortable putting the ball on the floor, making plays for teammates, and scoring from the mid-range and around the basket.
He represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the 2024 FIBA U18 EuroBasket Division B tournament and has shown the ability to impact the game as a versatile offensive forward. His combination of size, passing feel, and ball skills gives Marshall another unique piece in the frontcourt.
With limited college experience but plenty of developmental upside, Kuridza adds valuable depth and another option for Corny Jackson's revamped roster.

Here is more of the same. Comfortable in transition. Skillful with the ball and crafty finisher. This style of play should translate to the way MU wants to get up and down and run.

Fun piece to write up. So many unknowns and position battles to be sorted out this Fall. Hard to project anything, but they do have some positional size and defensive disruption traits that they were missing last year. Eager to see how it all plays out. Will need multiple guy to take pretty big leaps offensively though.

The way Corny built the roster this offseason showed clear signs that they want to set the tone defensively. They signed players who have disruptive defensive tendencies. Here are a few stats that showcase this further:
Demarco Johnson: 3.3% steal rate and 2.7% block rate
Fazl Oshodi: 2.9% steal rate
Alex Charlotin: Reported 6 foot 9 wingspan
Luke Rasmussen: 3.4% steal rate and 3.1% block rate

Manyuon had a really good JUCO season two years ago, where he shot 41% from 3 on over 160 attempts. For whatever reason, he didn’t really crack the rotation at Pacific.
But based on his JUCO stats and tape, there’s some real talent. Add him to the mix at guard and let them battle for playing time!

Former University of Pacific G Emmanuel Manyuon has committed to The Herd.
Manyuon is listed at 6’2” 180lbs and appeared in 14 games for Pacific last season.

JUCO freshman transfer from Ellsworth Community College commits to MU. Originally from Quebec, Canada, the 6'4" guard averaged 15.9ppg last season on 58% shooting with 5.1 asts and 3.8 rebs per game.
Charlotin had reported offers from Georgia Southern and Cleveland State this cycle. Corny dips back into the Canadian pipeline. Becoming a yearly occurrence.

DeMarco Johnson is going to be a real asset defensively for Corny and his staff next season. Real size and length at the point-of-attack. As you can see in this two possession sequence, he can be really disruptive. 3.4% steal rate last season, which is 94th percentile. This roster is being built on versatility and disruption on the defensive end.

In this second video, you get a taste of what Johnson is capable of defensively in a half-court setting. He does a really good job navigate the screen and using his length to recover and block the shot. MU was really missing this length defensively from the guard position last season.
