Happy face. Not one to brag, just hope to inspire. 10 years ago, I started out as a band 2 in the NHS as a HCA. Yesterday I became an 8a. To all those aspiring Clinical Psychologists out there: never give up hope, you can do it. #justkeepswimming

I had the pleasure of completing Part 1 EMDR training last week with Sandi Richman and colleagues. It was ace & I enjoyed a cheeky trip to this exhibit during one of our breaks.EMDR is total wizardry.Different to my usual approach and fascinating from a neuro perspective
We practiced some of the skills & I chose my horrific fear of moths.Last night that a moth was in my bedroom and I simply noticed it and got into bed.Previously, Iβd have hidden in the bathroom until help arrived π€―π³ Looking forward to attending Part 2 in August

Being a psychologist is really hard. But varied days like today are great: training MDT colleagues, meeting with a new patient, cognitive assessment and collaborative joint work with colleagues. Feeling revived and refreshed despite QiCN viva prep π€―
