This weekend was one of the most fun, interactive, inspiring, and genuinely joyful art experiences I have ever had. for the first time in years, I left the camera at home because i wanted to make more honest connections. i am glad i did Getting to sit with people like @justinaversano and go through the arc of @beeple’s work and really zoom in 😏 from the earliest creations all the way back to 2009 up through now was incredible. Being able to slow down and really look at that evolution with people I admire and respect meant a lot to me. It was not just about seeing the work. It was about the conversations around it, the energy in the room, and what it opened up in me. Being able to give physical art, the prints of the static of my own daily art from ERC7160 contracts on @TransientLabs to people I love, respect, and admire made the whole weekend even more meaningful. Spending time talking with @justinaversano, @redbeardnft, @Coldie, @WAPSHOP_ETH, @mr_merge, @musicalnetta, @joeyldotcom, @danoramas, and @ArtOnBlockchain made the whole experience even richer. One of the biggest highlights for me was having deep conversations with @AP0CALYPSE about his art, as everyone golfed sround us. Hearing how he thinks, and getting to connect on that level. I also loved getting to meet and see @Chumwizards , @noble, and of course, the other @Chazwesley99 What stayed with me most is that this weekend pushed something open in me. Seeing all the art I saw, hearing the conversations I had, and feeling the level of experimentation and freedom in the room brought me to a real decision. I am not scared to experiment further anymore. I am not holding back work just because I am worried about how people might react or what they might judge. I am done with that. This weekend reminded me that the only thing worth making is the art that is true. Like @justinaversano said about artists who inspire us to "dream bigger", that is exactly what this weekend did for me. And I deeply felt the truth of something else too. We really do have to show up and support each other. That part matters. Online, in person, in conversation, in collecting, in sharing, in taking risks, and in believing in each other’s work before the rest of the world catches up. And honestly, as amazing as everything else was, having my own art , The Last Slop Supper" on the massive LED wall was one of the most surreal and meaningful parts of all of it. To be in that environment, surrounded by work and people that moved me, and to see my own work included in that kind of space meant everything. AND EVEN MORE giving @beeple my art and talking to him about my own daily practice, telling him im on day 105 and getting an attaboy and keep it up, all I could have asked for I left this weekend feeling inspired, grateful, more certain of myself, and more ready than ever to go further into the art I know I need to make. Thank you to everyone I got to spend time with, learn from, laugh with, and share space with. Weekends like this change you.
