The National Hurricane Center has initiated advisories on Potential Tropical Cyclone #1, currently located just southwest of Corpus Christi, TX. The low may emerge over the western Gulf by tonight and could briefly become a tropical storm. If it does become a storm, it would be named Arthur.
Tropical Storm Watches are now posted from Morgan City westward to Sargent, TX.
Even with a potential named system in play, our focus remains on rainfall. Flash Flood Warnings have already been posted in some areas Tuesday morning and threat for heavy rain only gets higher by late Wednesday into Thursday.
