Highlights from Oral Health Research Day, where postgraduate dental students and interns presented research across diverse specialties, shaping conversations around the future of oral healthcare. For the first time, the event also featured Dentathon 2026, bringing together clinicians, researchers, faculty, and learners to collaborate on practical ideas and solutions that create lasting impact in oral healthcare.

جانب من فعالية «يوم أبحاث صحة الفم والأسنان»، حيث استعرض طلبة الدراسات العليا وطلبة برنامج الامتياز في طب الأسنان مجموعة من الأبحاث النوعية في مختلف التخصصات، بما يعكس التزامهم بتطوير المعرفة العلمية والمساهمة في مستقبل صحة الفم والأسنان. وشهد الحدث هذا العام تنظيم «Dentathon 2026» للمرة الأولى، بمشاركة الطلبة والأطباء والباحثين والكادر الأكاديمي، في منصة تفاعلية لتبادل الأفكار وتطوير حلول عملية تسهم في الارتقاء بمجال صحة الفم والأسنان.

Professor Ahmad Abou Tayoun, Director of the Genomic Medicine Center and Professor of Genetics, participated in the 79th World Health Assembly Resolution Side Event on Precision Medicine, joining the ministerial panel discussion on advancing equitable and sustainable precision medicine.

Guided by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Dubai continues to strengthen its position as a global hub for innovation, research, and future industries through impactful partnerships.

I hosted a majlis bringing together leaders and partners participating in “Dubai Future Solutions – Prototypes for Humanity” to explore future collaborations and support the growth of ventures backed by the initiative.

We also witnessed the signing of strategic MoUs with AtkinsRéalis and Silal, alongside collaboration with the “Dubai Research, Development and Innovation Programme” to advance research and accelerate emerging technologies.

Proud to witness the initiative’s rapid growth and the strong momentum Dubai is creating through partnerships that reinforce innovation as a driver of solutions to global challenges.

برؤية صاحب السمو الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم وتوجيهات سمو الشيخ حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، تواصل دبي ترسيخ مكانتها مركزاً عالمياً للابتكار والبحث العلمي والصناعات المستقبلية، عبر بناء شراكات نوعية تفتح آفاقًا جديدة للنمو والتقدّم المستدام. 

وفي هذا الإطار، استضفتُ مجلساً جمع نخبة من قادة القطاعات الحيوية والشركاء المشاركين في مبادرة «حلول دبي للمستقبل – ابتكارات للبشرية»، لمناقشة سبل توسيع فرص الشراكات المستقبلية لمواصلة تمكين المشاريع المدعومة من المبادرة من النمو والتوسع. 

كما شهدنا توقيع مذكرات تفاهم إستراتيجية مع شركتي "أتكينز رياليس" و"سلال"، إلى جانب تسليط الضوء على التعاون مع «برنامج دبي للبحث والتطوير والابتكار» لدعم الأبحاث وتعزيز المسارات التجارية للتقنيات الناشئة.

سعيدة بالنمو المتسارع الذي تشهده المبادرة وبالحراك الإيجابي الذي تقوده دبي اليوم عبر شراكات فاعلة تسهم في ترسيخ الابتكار أداةً فاعلة لتطوير حلول عملية للتحديات العالمية المشتركة.

جانب من مؤتمر «دبي الصحية لعلوم النظم الصحية: حلول مبتكرة» في «جامعة محمد بن راشد للطب والعلوم الصحية»، حيث اجتمع طلبة برامج بكالوريوس الطب والزمالة لتسليط الضوء على مشاريعهم التي تركز على الابتكار وتطوير الرعاية الصحية. حضر المؤتمر سعادة الدكتور علوي الشيخ علي، مدير عام هيئة الصحة في دبي، حيث ألقى كلمة أكد من خلالها على أهمية تحويل التقدم الطبي إلى نتائج ملموسة عبر أنظمة صحية أكثر ابتكاراً. نتوجه بجزيل الشكر إلى شركائنا في «ميديكلينك» على مساهمتهم في إنجاح هذا المؤتمر.

Highlights from the Dubai Health – Health System Sciences Symposium: Innovation Showcase at MBRU, where medical undergraduate and fellowship programs learners came together to present projects focused on innovation and advancing healthcare. The symposium was attended by H.E. Dr. Alawi Alsheikh-Ali, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority, who delivered a keynote addressing the importance of bridging the gap between what medicine can achieve and what health systems deliver, through system-based innovation and collaboration.
