Max Pollak is recognized worldwide for his superior musicianship and his highly individual style. He is the first person to merge authentic Afro-Cuban music and dance with American rhythm tap and body music to create RumbaTap.

Max was the originator of Cuba's first tap festival and he has been teaching and performing there since 1998. We are honored to have Max Pollak teaching for us this year in the Adult #2 program on Saturday (sold out!) and on Sunday in the Older Teens #2 program (last few spots!)

Faculty Spotlight-Evan Ruggiero
Evan began dancing at the age of five at his hometown studio. By the age of ten, he was accepted into the famed New Jersey Tap Ensemble. Upon entering his sophomore year at Montclair State University, Evan was suddenly diagnosed with Osteosarcoma

Inspired by Clayton “Peg Leg” Bates, Evan was determined to continue dancing. Within eighteen months after the amputation, and only two days after receiving his “peg-leg," Evan was tapping again!
