Today, I proudly participated in the 10-kilometer Boda-Boda Walk organized by @Akeda4. The event was more than just a fitness & community activity, it served as an important platform to raise awareness about road safety, especially among boda-boda riders & road users around the city. According to @PoliceUg ACR 2025, motorcycle-related crashes accounted for 47% of the total road deaths recorded. This highlights the urgent need for increased awareness, discipline, responsible riding & stronger adherence to traffic regulations among all road users. The Walk therefore came at a very important time, reminding riders, passengers, motorists & pedestrians that safety on the road is a shared responsibility. Through this initiative, participants advocated for safer riding practices such as wearing helmets, avoiding speeding, respecting traffic lights, avoiding reckless overtaking & ensuring that motorcycles are properly maintained. The spirit of unity, fitness & awareness demonstrated during the 10km walk reflected the collective commitment towards reducing road crashes & saving lives. I commend the organizers especially @Akeda4 for spearheading such a timely & impactful initiative. Activities like these are essential in promoting public awareness & encouraging positive behavioral change that can help reduce the motorcycle-related crashes. Together We can

EPS is a system where a traffic officer issues an express penalty ticket to a driver after identifying a traffic offense. The officer is required to first explain the offense committed and inform the driver of their rights. You may choose to plead guilty & accept the ticket immediately or plead not guilty & have the matter handled in court. The ticket is expected to be issued on the spot. For inquiries, concerns or complaints, please visit our offices at Nateete Traffic Headquarters Rooms @73 or @74, or call our toll-free line on @0800199099 or @256773815326

Masaka CPS is holding 6 drivers of different Subaru vehicles over cases of reckless driving along the Masaka Highway at Kingo & Kadugala. The drivers were reported by concerned road users & later identified through CCTV footage captured at Kyabakuza, Kijabwemi Roundabout, Nsenene Stage, and the Masaka Welcome Roundabout. They were allegedly seen overtaking dangerously & competing against one another on the road, actions that exposed other motorists to potential crashes. The suspects were later intercepted at the Kadugala checkpoint & are currently detained pending court proceedings. Motorists are urged to observe responsible driving to protect lives & promote road safety.
