Safety and operational continuity are core to our mission. Today, @MDCPS leadership, campus administrators, and emergency personnel conducted a district-wide Hurricane Preparedness Drill. As Hurricane Season approaches on June 1st, we encourage our entire community to mirror these preparation efforts by securing supplies, reviewing local evacuation routes, and updating family emergency plans.

May 4th is the start of a two-week warning period for the School Bus Infraction Detection Program. Drivers caught illegally passing a school bus will receive a warning letter. No civil penalties during this time. Beginning May 18, a $225 civil penalty applies. For more information, visit bussafety.dadeschools.net.

Today, we announced the relaunch of our School Bus Infraction Detection Program in partnership with the @MiamiDade_SO and @BusPatrol_. By equipping nearly 900 @MDCPS buses with cameras to catch illegal stop-arm passes, we are prioritizing student safety and changing dangerous driver behavior.
