A temporary closure is now in effect for a portion of the Big Red Trail on the west side of Greenbrier Lake. The section of trail will be closed for walking and the dam area will be inaccessible for boating and fishing. Visitors should follow posted signage & use alternate trail.

Visit Point Lookout State Park June 13 and 14 for the Blue and Gray Days event! Costumed interpreters will present small arms and artillery demonstrations as well as static living history exhibits depicting both military and civilian life at Point Lookout during the Civil War.

Deep Creek Lake State Park has added a dog library for our fav. four-legged visitors! Your dog can grab a stick to take on the trail across from the Ranger Station. Be sure all pets are on a leash in the park. Stop by The Discovery Center to get them a bark ranger bandana, too!

Attention Visitors! Bohemia River State Park will be hosting a school field trip on Friday June 5. The park will remain open, but the Greenbrier and Oak Point Trails will be in heavy use from 8:00 AM to  2:00 PM. See trails outlined in RED below.
