Thanks, Greg! I was honored to be able to weigh in on the initial article and then to further clarify in a later response. The Washington Post put out an excellent report.

"Foreign students enrolled in U.S. degree programs may be authorized to work part time and for limited periods to complete their degree requirements. Adam Cohen, author of “The Academic Immigration Handbook” and an attorney who specializes in employment visas, said Musk could obtain work authorization as a student, but that would have required him to be engaged in a full course of study at Stanford. Otherwise, “that would have been a violation,” Cohen said. If he didn’t go to school, “he wasn’t maintaining his status.”" Nice to see my law partner @MDVisas quoted and his excellent book referenced. Adam's one of the most knowledgeable lawyers in the country when it comes to university-related immigration. Elon Musk, enemy of ‘open borders,’ launched his career working illegally wapo.st/4e0PdyI

In terms of age, the Immigrant Act of #1998 is older than the #iPhone (gen 1) of #2007. Keeping up with the changing needs of users requires at least 12 updates on the iPhone - why doesn't Congress do the same with #immigration? This is our immigration system the 1998 Nokia.
