Cycling through Belgium and the Netherlands with the family this week.
Brussels airport has a bike service center just outside arrivals for tourists to build their bikes. Such a great welcome! They took our bike boxes to reuse for departing cyclists. Next stop: Antwerp 🇧🇪 🚲

Spent the autumn watching my kids race cyclocross and have been both cold and jealous jealous, so I have decided to enter my first race tomorrow after theirs finishes. What could go wrong?! Surely it’s just like road cycling but with corners, right? 😂

MGIF or Must Get In Front is a syndrome many people suffer from when driving.
It's a condition which overrides any rational thinking the driver may have and is often triggered by slow moving vehicles, horses and cyclists.

Really glad I wore my best, most visible protection items today, which consisted of a bright yellow top, reflective backpack, white helmet and a daytime light.
They had absolutely no clue I was there. A glance to the left may have helped...

Pro tip: If you aggressively honk your horn as you dangerously overtake a cyclist for a good old MGIF at a roundabout, making them & oncoming cars swerve & slow to avoid you, then fail to give way safely, at least make sure your car’s taxed—because that’s going in the report too.

Trying to prove a point about unsafe cycling whilst simultaneously uploading themselves holding a mobile phone & driving a HGV🤷♂️
Whilst I also hate cyclists that ride through red lights. I'd say that 'pedaltwat' was sensible to get as far away from you & your lorry as possible.

Had I not looked this driver directly in the eye and pointed out the traffic island, whilst moving to a more primary position, I genuinely think they would have continued to try and squeeze their massive vehicle through here. It's as if these islands come by surprise to some. Gah

24 hours on from my last post, here is what happens when I moved into primary position at the road-narrowing refuges: they overtake anyway 🤷♂️ on Zig-zags for good measure, as well. This one went straight to the police.
So fed up of shit driving.

Here's the rear view - this one has my back wheel in. I'd say his mirror was about 15cm from my handlebars.
To be fair to the driver, they were probably very angry that I'd waited at the traffic lights. Drivers hate it when cyclists do that.
