A novelist, a flash fiction writer & a CNF writer walk into a bar.
Novelist: I haven't had a drink since that one night long ago.
FFW: Drinks drink me.
CNFW: My father drank. Then he beat me with inflated balloons.
Bartender: None of you have any money, get out.

The good folks @trampset have re-launched their site and the hard work of migrating content continues apace. Congratulations to them! Oh, and there's more in the reply, because I guess that's what we do now ---->
And toot! toot! because I'm going to blow my own horn...here's one of mine that trampset published back in April 2020. Damn, where did a half-dozen years go?

For our 80th presentation, we’re serving Scotch in a smoky bar. A few drinks, a few smokes, then we head out into the night. Let’s dim the lamps & get in the mood—read “Gothic,” by @TalktoMeMeMe. Cheers, Sheree! 🍸

My credentials as a serious writer are impeccable. Well into adulthood, I spent Saturday mornings squeezing the literary juice from Hanna-Barbera cartoons & crappy horror movies. The result? My story "The Saturday Roger Became So Hungry." It's coming to @HAWKEYE_mag in late July!
I'm dizzy with joy because my instruction manual "Disemployment Guidelines" will be published this August by Flight: A Literary Sampler, a wonderful up-and-coming journal.

You don't know them, they use a different social media platform & live in Alaska.
Here's ol' @ricketywhite at his best. An unsettling display of fabulous fabulism that will linger for a while. Rick pours his heart into stories like this one so he can break yours. He can't be stopped.
I have a new fiction in @pocketsmag today called “2007: The Summer the Smoking Ban Came into Place.” If, like me, you’re a bit confused about where the last (almost) two decades have gone then why not give it a read? 🐈⬛ 🎃 👻 🖤
How can David Henson be in his writing prime and still continue to get better? Read this story by @Annalou8 in @TheoAirgonaut and let me know. So much to admire in this very short fiction.

This is a good post. Maybe a great post. We used to call them "tweets" and they were chilled sparkling water on a hot, muggy day. I'm re-posting it but no one will see it on my Xitter account, either. Gotta hand it to Rick, though.
They spend thousands of hours dozing on your lap while you're trying to write something great, and then one day they decide to replace you because you're the one who's the obstacle to success.
David Henson is a prolific, versatile, consistently outstanding writer of contemporary flash fiction. How does he do it? I don't know. It pisses me off. Oh, and he's a super-nice guy! Anyway, if you're not familiar with his work, read these 3 short pieces in @BottleRocketLit.
A new issue of @TheoAirgonaut is live, and my short piece "Plateau" is in there. I got to say "DNA spiral" and "devotees" and "earworms" -- if you like words like those, you may enjoy taking a look. There are other words, too, maybe better ones. Thanks!

I'm proud and happy to have placed one of my fictions with The Airgonaut. It's great to be in there again! Now that I've read the rest of the stories, I'm humbled by the outstandingly fine work the other seven authors have produced. Please take a look at Issue 42 ASAP!
Here I am with a drive-by publication announcement: my short fiction "Plateau" is coming soon to @TheoAirgonaut. This will be my 8th acceptance there & my first was back in 2017! It's a great journal run by a great editor, @ShelCompton, and I'm grateful for his continued kindness
