ℹ️🚨|| Mark Ogden on Manchester United poor recruitment plan for the past years.. Manchester United’s recruitment problems haven’t just been about signing bad players, it’s been the lack of a clear football identity behind the decisions. Every manager arrives with a different vision, different profiles, different priorities, and the squad becomes a mix of conflicting ideas. One summer they recruit for possession football, the next they pivot to transitional football, then suddenly they want physicality and intensity. You end up with an expensive squad that doesn’t fully suit any system.

A very thorough process lol 😆 without interviewing other available manager yet ole was denied because he want to continue after the interim job .. ladies and gentlemen man utd in a nutshell.
The expectation is for #MUFC to offer Michael Carrick the permanent head coach role for next season. No concrete talks or official decision has been made yet but it's looking increasingly likely that the club want to continue with the 44-year-old following impressive past months.

Manchester United football club. 1. Dont hire Ole as interim because apparently he wants job longterm 2. Brief it'll be thorough processwith data and analytics key. 3. Hire Carrick after he overperforms while interviewing no other candidate 🤣🤣🤣

My club prefers to wait till every competent manger gets hired so they can give excuses of why Carrick is the only available option.. family FC 😭

The foul on David Raya was obvious & is nothing like some of the goals Arsenal have scored from corners! Arsenal were pulled up three years ago at Leicester for holding the goalkeepers arm!! #MNF #WHUARS ⚽️📊

Forget about the coach, if the directors can’t understand this and fix it, and it seems they don’t, we will never be a top club

❗️Brentford played United and City away B2B. Think the difference between the games tells a lot about the state of things. 🔺At Old Trafford, Brentford had 54% possession. Jensen and Damsgaard had 170 passes. Jensen completed 79 of 94. At the Ethiad, Brentford had 40% possession. Jensen completed 35 of 52 passes. 🔺Watching the games — the cause for the difference on the pitch is clear as day. City lifted up their back 4, took away space from Brentford in the build-up, and Brentford could not handle it. Brentford even pushed high with 4 players at times, but City still didn’t drop back. Jensen and co are good, not elite. He was in way over his head against City. Against United, Brentford sent up 1-3 players and United dropped deep with 7 players and Brentford played through our press with such an ease. 🔺But why do Man Utd play which such a deep line? It has nothing to do with the midfield. You cannot press with a deep line. As seen in the picture below, Utd is 7 against 3 in our own half, and Brentford is consequently 7 against 3 in their half. You cannot press with 3 players against 7. It has everything to do with the lack of pace at CB. This is a problem we have had for a long long time. It does not get the attention it deserves. 🔺I really try to like the idea of Carrick getting the job. Sometimes I am excited about it. But it’s 2026. We have three games left of a season without a knife against our throat. We play Sunderland. What does Carrick do? The first name put on the the team sheet is Harry Maguire and we play an extremely deep line. This is what we need to work on. It cannot be up for debate. Why is Lenny Yoro sat on the bench? Why doesn’t we even try to improve here? When we play this deep, the best we can hope on is counter attacks because we will never be able to establish sustained pressure. 🔺Brentford and Sunderland are good. But it will — not — be any different in Europe next season. Well organized teams like Bodo-Glimt, FC Copenhagen, Sparta Prague and the likes will have a field day, just like Brentford, Sunderland and Leeds. People think we will do well in the big group stage of the CL just because we play in the PL. Most European teams can’t handle the physical nature of PL clubs. That is why Newcastle and Tottenham are top in the CL while bottom in the PL. When we play such a deep line — we get nothing of that. ⚽️My bar is extremely low, for what I would settle for with a new manager. Looking around Europe the last decade, what works is possession focused 4-2-3-1, high line and high counter press. Give me that and I would take it. Why? We simply cannot waste time building teams in the wrong direction. We have done it since Mourinho, who was past it tactically when we got him. I cannot be in favor of appointing a manager who clearly favors this ultra deep line counter attack style.

Whoever gets Iraola will be making the most exciting signing of the summer. Free, great football with a poundland squad. Yes there is risk but Klopp was a risk and Iraola has done it year after year and rebuilt teams in the Prem

Getting back into the UCL under Carrick is a massive step forward, but our lack of a defined playing style is a major red flag. This latest run of matches is not just screaming reinforcing the midfield/Team but also,a repeat of a pattern we’ve struggled with for a while now. ⭐Against, Sunderland, we struggled throughout the match and didn't record our first shot on target until the 93rd minute. ⭐ In the Liverpool game, we were outplayed at Old Trafford. Considering Liverpool were missing Alisson, Mamardashvili, Isak, Ekitike, and Salah, we only managed 37% possession. ⭐The Brentford match saw us lose control of the tempo after scoring two goals. It’s difficult to ignore that, even in victory. It was a tough watch, especially considering United were playing at Old Trafford. ⭐ Despite Chelsea's poor form this season, United only managed one shot on target and four attempts overall. ⭐In the Newcastle game at St. James' Park, they had only one win in five matches and even picked up a first-half red card against United. Despite the advantage, they played us as if we were the ones a man down. We ended up losing the game. ⭐Most worrying was the performance against Leeds, where they completely carved us open in the first half. If it wasn't for Lisandro Martinez, we would have been 3–0 down before the break. While Carrick has done well to use the players' strengths, the lack of tactical progress is worrying. Given the light schedule, the team should have a clearer style of play by now. Instead, we are still relying on individual moments rather than a solid tactical system

Funny this same mount is rooting for Carrick to stay on as permanent manager lol that should tell you everything about this club lol even Maguire too lol..
Mason Mount is the worst signing in Manchester United history, and he should be the number one priority to be sold this summer. The only reason he is being protected by the media is because he is English. He hasn’t produced a good performance since 2023, and he is on £250k a week.

ℹ️🚨|| Roy Keane on why Carrick’s tactics aren't sustainable. “Listen, I’m telling you, this ‘Carrick ball’ people keep praising? It’s not sustainable. Not in this league. Not over 38 games. You can’t keep playing pretty little triangles at the back, inviting pressure every single week, moving the ball around like it was a training session, but with no real purpose. Too safe, too slow, too comfortable,You don’t win big trophies playing football like it’s an exhibition match".
