Day 4 of #IAS_NUQ at #ICA26 began with a panel on Global South epistemologies, extreme speech, and the politics of language, harm, and historical continuity.
@MKraidy presented “Digitality as Zombie Analogicity,” examining how analog media continue to haunt, shape, and remediate the digital technologies they are often assumed to have replaced.

.@majedalansari, Advisor to #Qatar’s Prime Minister and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reflected on his journey to becoming the ministry’s official voice.
He looked back at his time before becoming the spokesperson during the 2017 blockade on Qatar, when he made media appearances to provide his analysis on the situation and sharing the Gulf country's narrative.
Northwestern University Provost-Elect Erik Luijten addressed the Class of 2026, recognizing their resilience and the global perspective they bring.
He encouraged graduates to remain open to new ideas and to approach their work with intention and awareness.
