My thoughts on AI.
I have a very high radar for spotting where AI is being used. I can usually tell immediately when a rendering, video, or piece of marketing was generated with AI. Most of it still looks cheap and devalues a project.
I don’t see it as a threat. The same way Fiverr or Canva aren’t a threat.
The clients who value branding with soul want people with a soul shaping their projects. The clients who just want something quick and inexpensive are free to use AI to brand their projects. Those were never the clients we were working with anyway.
What I do love about AI is how dramatically it has lowered the barrier to building tools.
For example, just this week I built two incredible ones.
The first is a custom CRM that scrapes my email, automatically indexes new leads, and tags what stage each project is at. Good luck getting off my follow-up list now.
The second is even cooler. We built our own lead-generation engine that uses public data to track where new development projects are holding in the pipeline, giving us a real-time map of opportunity.
And honestly, this is just the beginning. There’s so much more to build.
