The culture industry is a delicate ecosystem and should be protected as such. I fear the long lasting damage of this trickle-down “crown jewels” approach. The recent closure of many UK venues (inc @DeafInstitute @thisisgorilla The Welly) is akin to a vast destruction of habitat
