“The so-called EV car market is perhaps overly optimistic in a projected 80M units/yr in 14 years (up from 3.4 million last year)
but I believe the micromobility market of 200 million units is conservative.”

There are more micromobility vehicles in use in the world than there are cars.
300M e-bikes in China 🇨🇳
230M two-wheelers in India 🇮🇳
72M bikes in Japan 🇯🇵
40M bikes in Brazil 🇧🇷
100M bikes in the U.S. 🇺🇸

The per minute price of a scooter in Miami ($.49) costs more than the price of a Car2go Mercedes CLA ($.45) circa 2019.
The real kicker is that the vehicle speed is capped at 8 mph. 💨
After 60 years of spending billions on 'travel time savings', the Dutch...
⏱ are not travelling a second shorter.
📏 Instead travel 6x further
Centrifugal forces of easier travel increased distances between activities & created car dependence.

This is far too low an estimate for micromobility. @MicromobilityCo has been saying it ever since, and it’s even truer now.
But here’s a timestamped tweet to demonstrate it incorrect in a matter of years.
Pay attention to the green.
And realize that scooters are represented only by the infant dockless models of years (many generations) ago. Otherwise it would be much closer to the ebike.
