If it looks like Tiger is looking right at me that’s because he is, I’m incredibly in the way. I would’ve hit me on purpose.

I like how they make him a victim of a “disease” “Guys he’s an addict, he needs help.” Since when has allowing an addict to avoid consequences for their addiction helped them? What other addictions do we ignore the associated crimes?
Barely mentioned in the Sorsby discourse: Almost everything he did was illegal. -- Underage gambling -- Using other peoples' identities/accounts -- Sending money to friends out of state to place bets for him. The latter 2 could incriminate others as well. (Continued.)

Something I learned today… When a golf course gets an inch of rain it’s roughly 5 million gallons of water dumped on property

I’m hearing people talk about parity in the NBA being a good thing… It’s not. It’s not in the NFL, golf, MLB, swimming, track, gymnastics, tennis, skateboarding, snowboarding, pick one. Sports are at their best with a dominant presence you can love or hate.

Imagine being angry the country is so prosperous, so open to innovation, so inclusive, an immigrant can move to the U.S. and in just 30 years frontier multiple different industries and become a trillionaire from essentially 0.
Can someone please explain it to me like I'm five, why members of Congress are more upset that Elon became a trillionaire than they are that Somalis have defrauded our government out of hundreds of billions of dollars?

All true. Most of the time I’m blissfully unaware of what I shot until I tally it up… IF I tally it up. I extra don’t care what you shot unless it’s a career best, in which case, beers on me.
Attention beginners & high-hcps who get paired with better players: I need to tell you a few things, bluntly. Because I want you to grow. Tough love, if you will. -I don’t care if you ‘don’t usually play this bad.’ -I don’t care if you chunk, shank, slice & skull. -I definitely don’t need play-by-play of every shot you hit. Truly, you don’t have to explain yourself. -I care if you are fun to be around. -I care if you disrupt the round. Slow, loud, complain, throw clubs. -I’m happy to share technique or equipment advice if you ask The scorecard goes in the trash. Your behavior is deposited to memory. Some of my favorite golf companions shoot 95, quickly. I leave pondering the laughs, stories, quips & insights, but never what they shot. (📷 credit @patrickjkoenig)

1 Putting two days ago: - face ~4° open at address - out to in path - gross 2 Putting today: - *feel* hooded (squares the face) - *feel* hooking putts (like a 70y hook 5i from the trees) @TheStackSystem putting test out at the course… gained 0.75 vs a 4hdcp baseline

Elon increased his net worth by $188B this week… If money is a finite resource, who lost $188B this week?
Replying to @LibertarianMama
I used to feel very much the same way. The problem with that logic is that money a finite resource. When one man holds $1 trillion of it, the concept of “trickle down economics” really becomes absurd.

That’s why you create things. Serve millions of people with a single product (or several in Elon’s case) and own some of your business. I wonder how many years it would take a senator to earn $10M at $172,000/year. Maybe she’s been in office 200 years
Elon Musk just became the world's first trillionaire. The typical American household would have to work more than 11 MILLION years to make Elon Musk's level of wealth. We need a wealth tax.

A little more fun with lasers today… In today’s episode, don’t get face fucked. If your face alignment sucks your stroke (and full swing) has to do something to fix it. Why was my stroke out to in? Well, here’s my first test of my aim… yellow line indicates square

Will fixing my face automatically fix my stroke? Obviously not immediately, it’s an ingrained motion. But if I ever made a “good” stroke with my alignment I’d push it a mile right. Fix the face so you’re rewarded with good strokes and punished for bad ones.

Oh… as what I realized from this test, either my head is crooked at alignment or my eyes are. Turns out to see the face as square when it was ACTUALLY square I needed my body to be pretty open to the line. Not sure anyone ever putted well that way… 🤞

I should’ve expected these responses… there’s a whole generation out there who doesn’t joke because they’ve only ever communicated through text and can’t read sarcasm. Also, Note to self: Not everyone sees everything else you post.

Another internet professional trying to tell an actual professional how to do something 🤦‍♂️

I’m using it to see the laser line stay in the center of the ball as long as it can, that works fine outdoors (but you need a straight/flat putt). Yes, you can use it in the opposite direction but outdoors it might be tricky unless it’s dark out…

Great hack - 2?’s: how well does it work outside on a putting green? Can it be used in the opposite direction (from hole to ball)?

Golf traditions I love: Ams competing alongside professionals Architects competing with technology Golfers competing against the field. Not versus history. Not versus some ideal of when you were a kid. Just the guys on the tee sheet. Low score wins.

My golf swing looks a bit like my putting stroke, it loops slightly over my backswing When I learned to play golf I was just trying to make the ball do stuff I discovered (never saw it, didn’t know I looped it over) if I take it back inside I can swing from the inside.

So I did. And I learned to hit draws. First I learned how to hit it kinda solid. Then I learned how to control it okay. Then hit it a little harder. Pretty much it. I’ve gone thru phases of trying to “fix” the takeaway but I lose too much contact and control.

Someone tell that guy he loops the putter to the outside… that’s not how you’re supposed to do it
SIX back-nine birdies for Brooks Koepka🤩 He shares the lead at 6 under par
