Himalayan Giant (Rubus armeniacus) is characterised by thick stems & large leaves with chalk white undersides. It has also been reported as one of Europe’s most invasive weeds, whilst its distribution is quickly expanding throughout GB.

Now it’s not very often you can say you’ve discovered a new species to the country!
This represents the first record for the sexually-transmitted anther smut Microbotryum pinguiculae in England. The fungus replaces pollen of the host plant with its own spores which is so odd!🤩

Did you know that here in the UK, we have over 500 species of aphid?!
