As Women for Political Change sunsets, the organization wants to acknowledge and apologize for the harm caused within the organization and greater community, specifically toward Black WFPC staff and community members.
It is with sincere remorse that we write to inform you about the sunsetting of Women for Political Change [WFPC], which will take effect this summer.

The Anti-Blackness and ableism within the organization should have never grown to the extent it did and was only exacerbated by the exponential growth WFPC experienced in 2020.
It is with sincere remorse that we write to inform you about the sunsetting of Women for Political Change [WFPC], which will take effect this summer.

White supremacists are actively targeting and killing grieving members of community and the cops show up to... threaten and arrest grieving members of community? Who is being protected and served again?
Our thoughts and prayers today are with Winston Smith’s family and community. Executing someone for owning a gun in a state thats hostile towards Blackness and also aggressivly advocates for gun ownership is hypocrisy. There’s no peace without abolishing the police. #winstonsmith
The City of Minneapolis finally accomplished what it set out to do on May 25, 2020, finally put George Floyd in confinement behind bars and rebar and concrete.
From my time in George Floyd Square today, I can tell you that the somberness and pain is palpable. The barricades that marked this sacred space were taken down by the City of Minneapolis before the sun rose today.
The energy at GFS is resilient but resiliency is exhausting.
As we begin to mark the beginning of Pride tomorrow, it's important that the trans origin of Pride be honored. It was Black and Brown transgender women who risked their lives to be seen and respected for living out their truths and the truth of other LGBTQIA folks.
To kick-off Pride month, we’ve prepared 50 care packages for BIPOC trans youth in MN. Care packages include an assortment of gender-affirming items, optional binders and gaffs, art pieces, and body care products. Sign up to recieve one or share with a pal: secure.everyaction.com/U3d0X…
We're partnering with @pointofpride to fundraise for gender-affirming clothing to every waitlisted BIPOC youth under 30 in MN. We're $850 short of reaching our goal! Support trans youth joy by donating this week & be entered into a raffle giveaway! DONATE: womenforpoliticalchange.org/…
